It's possible that if you shoot with sharp lenses & great technique, that you might notice a difference in detail in an A3 print, and landscapes are just the kind of subject matter that let you appreciate that detail. You specifically mentioned A3 at 300dpi, you're somewhere in the neighborhood of 16-ish MP. For landscape or macro photography, I'd honestly save some money and get the A200 over either of the LV models.

The downside is a smaller pentamirror viewfinder. (Personally, I'd love that "fast AF" LV system on my A700 for shooting kids with the camera away from my face). And the live view sensor is low res and does not offer high magnification for focus preview, either. keep in mind that the A200/300/350 range does not offer depth of field preview.
#Sony a200 vs sony a350 software
I got my A700 in like new condition, with the kit lens, all the software and accessories, boxed etc etc with a 5 year store warrenty (in a foreign country be it) for only 420GBP - a good price to what is about even on ebay. Like wise, there are good secnod hand deals on ebay too. have one in stock under their used items for 349GBP I think, very good price. The best thing here Benny is to go for the A350, but to shop around. I'm very greatful to have no banding in my photos anymore atleast. Maybe thats CCD vs CMOS technology, I'm not sure. It doesnt run into any high noise reduction mush at the higer iso's like the A200/A300/A700 and can actually give quite an interesting film-like-look to images at high ISO.ĭon't know about how sharp it is either, but my A100 images definately look sharper than my A700 images. Better than the a700 that is, as well as the A200/A300. David Kilpatrick of recons tha tthe a350 sensor is actually the best we have in our system at the moment. Where have you heard about the 10MP being superior to the 14MP? Sure, usually less MP is more, but I don't think it is in this case.
